Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Childcare Consultant to join our team at Affinity Education Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our network of childcare centres and families.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane, working Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the conversion of customer enquiries to bookings, waitlists, and centre tours
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions using our databases and systems
  • Effective sales and marketing techniques to promote our childcare centres to prospective and current families
  • Coordinating information on behalf of our network of childcare centres
  • Monitoring survey feedback to assess the quality of experience families receive
  • Promptly responding to enrolment enquiries from prospective families
  • Working collaboratively with centres to ensure occupancy is maximised, records are maintained, and families are serviced appropriately
  • Strategising and communicating opportunities for eligible families to boost approved activity entitlements
  • Managing the active opportunity pipeline and minimising stalled leads
  • Executing enrolment strategies aligned with promotional strategies or input from State, Area, or Centre Managers
  • Monitoring and tracking the Customer Feedback system to ensure all inquiries are handled and resolved by relevant stakeholders within timeframes, escalating if necessary
Requirements
  • Excellent customer support skills via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Ability to meet and exceed defined targets and KPIs
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening to understand and address customer inquiries and concerns
  • Adaptability and effective response to diverse personalities and support scenarios
  • Familiarity with various CRM systems and willingness to learn
  • Rapport-building skills to establish trust and understanding with customers
  • Proactive approach to troubleshoot and resolve support issues promptly
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humour, even in challenging situations
  • Demonstrated 'can-do' attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
  • Effective pressure management and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of the childcare services industry and relevant legislation (desirable)
