About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to join our Individual Pricing and Insurance Sustainability team at MLC Limited. This is a key role that will support the development of our individual pricing strategy and ensure that our products are competitively priced in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of pricing models and strategies for individual life insurance products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that pricing initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on pricing and actuarial matters to senior management.
  • Manage and maintain complex pricing models and data sets.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals for new pricing initiatives.
Requirements
  • FIAA or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years' Actuarial experience in the Australian life insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian life insurance industry and individual risk products.
  • Ability to plan, scope and manage projects including engaging relevant stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building convincing business cases.
  • Proven experience identifying issues, recommending solutions and working collaboratively with teams to solve problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of complex business issues and the ability to explain them.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks appropriately by using effective time management skills.
  • Experience in Prophet, Microsoft Excel and VBA, databases and SQL, R and/or Python.
