About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pricing Manager to join our Individual Pricing and Insurance Sustainability team at MLC Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering value-add work to various stakeholders within the business.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian life insurance industry and individual risk products, with a minimum of 7 years' Actuarial experience in the Australian life insurance industry. Pricing experience is highly regarded.

You will be responsible for leading Individual Life pricing initiatives, preparing pricing reports and recommendations for senior management, and providing input into the assumption setting and review process. Additionally, you will champion process improvement and best practice within the pricing process, collaborate with reinsurers, and contribute to the resolution of incidents.

We are looking for a talented individual who can develop team members to build technical pricing expertise, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement ability. If you have a proven track record of building convincing business cases, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and working collaboratively with teams to solve problems, we want to hear from you.

About You
  • FIAA or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years' Actuarial experience in the Australian life insurance industry. Pricing experience is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian life insurance industry and individual risk products.
  • Ability to plan, scope, and manage projects, including engaging relevant stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building convincing business cases.
  • Proven experience identifying issues, recommending solutions, and working collaboratively with teams to solve problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of complex business issues and the ability to explain them.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks appropriately by using effective time management skills.
  • Experience in Prophet, Microsoft Excel, and VBA, databases, and SQL, R, and/or Python.
