About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PD/H/PE) Faculty as a Middle Leader. The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals and contribute to the implementation of the College vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of educators in the PD/H/PE Faculty, providing guidance and support to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs, ensuring alignment with NESA requirements and the College's mission.
  • Collaborate with the College Executive to organize and conduct school activities, promoting a culture of shared responsibility and student growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, students, and staff, to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, using data to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
Essential Selection Criteria
  • A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • A commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy, including assessment and differentiated learning.
  • The ability to build a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.
  • An ability to lead learning and foster innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment.
  • A comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of requirements of all courses within PD/H/PE.
  • The ability to promote both sport and active/healthy lifestyles across the College.
  • Proven success in PD/H/PE (Stage 6) and/or CAFS.
Desirable Selection Criteria
  • The ability to teach Religious Education and/or Studies of Religion I and/or II.
General Capabilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.
