Middle Leader

Magdalene Catholic College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Middle Leader to join our Science Faculty. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in implementing our College vision and mission, supporting growth in faith and improvement in learning for students.
The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of the Catholic School's mission and purpose, as well as a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy. They will be able to build a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs. They will also have knowledge and understanding of requirements of all courses within Science, as well as proven success in Science (Stage 6).
Additional desirable criteria include the ability to teach Religious Education and/or Studies of Religion I and/or II. The successful applicant will also possess well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications for this role include appropriate qualifications for teaching courses within the Science KLA to HSC Level, Level C Accreditation aligned with the Diocese of Wollongong policy, and NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.
This is a permanent full-time position commencing 30 January 2025. The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals in the Science Faculty and support the Principal in implementing the College vision and mission.
