Environmental Sustainability Specialist


Job Description:

This role is a key position in ensuring our company's environmental compliance, community engagement, and rehabilitation initiatives are implemented effectively across all sites.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure environmental compliance and approvals are met with diligence.
  • Foster positive relationships with the community and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support the growth of the Environment & Community team.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting and ensure environmental standards are maintained.
  • Guide operations and exploration teams on sustainable practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Postgraduate degree in Environmental Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • At least 3 years in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of NSW environmental legislation and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in GIS and MS Office, with mining experience highly regarded.
