Job Opportunity: Sustainability Leader

The organisation seeks a Sustainability Leader to spearhead innovative environmental initiatives.

This strategic role provides direction for various sustainability endeavours at an organisational level and across the capital programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate engagement and ensure successful implementation of sustainability projects.
  • Support the delivery of organisational sustainability initiatives, as well as assisting the capital programme through identification of project sustainability initiatives and providing expert advice and insight to project teams on compliance with sustainability requirements.

We require someone with a background in sustainability, preferably with experience in the built environment and sustainable building verification programmes such as Green Star and NABERS.

This role suits someone with strong leadership, communication, and engagement skills to drive sustainability outcomes within the organisation and across NSW Health.

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of policies and strategies that promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, and communicating the organisation's sustainability goals and progress to various audiences.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to sustainability, and identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
