About the Role

Milestone IT is seeking a highly skilled FHIR HL7 Architect/Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • FHIR Implementation: Lead the implementation of FHIR standards, ensuring compliance with the latest HL7 standards and regulations.
  • Architecture Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect FHIR solutions that meet the specific needs of our healthcare products.
  • Data Mapping: Develop and maintain data mapping processes to enable the exchange of healthcare information between systems in a structured and standardized way.
  • Interoperability: Promote FHIR-based interoperability and work towards data consistency across different healthcare applications and systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that FHIR implementations are secure and compliant with healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of FHIR implementations, data models, and API specifications.
  • Integration Testing: Collaborate with testing teams to validate the functionality and interoperability of FHIR interfaces.
  • Training: Provide training and support to internal teams and external clients on FHIR standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with FHIR standards and HL7 protocols.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing FHIR solutions within the healthcare domain.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and data exchange standards.
  • Experience with healthcare data security and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in healthcare IT (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certification in FHIR is a plus.
