Job Description:

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Expert to help our customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. This role involves partnering with internal teams and leveraging deep knowledge of AWS tools and products to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customers' business problems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to represent Amazon well within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel, as well as a technical background to interact with software developers and architects. They should think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of cloud computing and work with a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

Responsibilities:

  1. Helping customers plan their cloud journey, solve complex technical challenges, and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
  2. Driving technical solution discussions and diving deep into details with customer teams.
  3. Building relationships to understand customers and partners, acting as a trusted technical advisor to influence stakeholders from technical teams to executives.
  4. Contributing to accelerating the adoption of AWS services.
  5. Acting as a thought leader, educating and sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers and blogs, and running workshops.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
  • 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
  • Ability to lead complex technical projects, potentially coordinating multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers.
  • Ability to create proofs of concept, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or using reusable components.
  • Experience working with Federal government.
  • Ability to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications).
