Principal Structural Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead our structural design and analysis initiatives in Brisbane. This role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and perform detailed structural designs and calculations to meet industry standards and specifications
- Conduct thorough structural analysis using software and hand calculations to guarantee designs meet performance and safety requirements
- Assess the impact of loads, stresses, and other factors on structures
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams during the construction phase
- Conduct site visits as necessary to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and industry standards
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 6 years experience in structural engineering primarily with building structures
- Strong knowledge and application of Australian and International Standards
- Experience with design software such as Spacegass
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
