Job Title: Grounds Person

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of various sites across Sydney, including private schools, retirement villages, and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in landscaping, gardening or a related field. They will be physically fit with the ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods. A valid driver's license is desirable and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and tools, including hand tools and power equipment. You will also have the chance to work with a diverse group of people and contribute to the maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the grounds of various sites across Sydney, including private schools, retirement villages and commercial properties.
  • Assist with garden maintenance tasks such as hedging, weeding, pruning and mulching.
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Loading and unloading materials, plants and equipment from trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools and equipment.
  • FOLLOW SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES TO ENSURE A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT FOR YOURSELF AND TEAM MEMBERS.
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks to a high standard.
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods.
  • Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or a related field is desirable.
  • Valid driver's license is desirable.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
