Remote Healthcare Opportunity

The NT Remote Locum Program aims to strengthen healthcare services in remote Northern Territory communities.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife/RN to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.

This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

  • Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
  • Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
  • Free CPD-accredited e-Learning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • An opportunity to immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture and explore some of Australia's most breathtaking remote landscapes.

What You'll Need:

  • Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery.
  • Minimum of 2 years Postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Current recognised Immunisation certificate.
  • Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willing to obtain).
