Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Services Manager to lead our team across our restaurant, bar, in-room dining, executive lounge, and minibar services at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, an iconic hotel in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

  • Senior Leadership: Serve as the senior leader of the Food and Beverage Outlet Operations team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all outlets.
  • Inventory Management: Take charge of monthly inventory, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Guest Service Excellence: Commit to delivering exceptional guest service, addressing and resolving any guest or colleague concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Innovation & Trends: Continuously review industry trends and competitor offerings to introduce new and innovative products and services.
  • Team Development: Lead the recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of all department positions, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Operational Duties:

  • Ensure the proper opening and closing of all service areas, maintaining high standards.
  • Oversee the execution of VIP activities and reservations within the division.
  • Ensure all F&B colleagues complete necessary Food Handlers Training.
  • Maintain bar and outlet brand standards, as well as health and liquor department standards.
  • Address any alleged foodborne illness issues and follow up on guest review comments as required.

Marketing/Administrative Duties:

  • Create and implement programs to drive revenue in F&B outlets, including unique events, seasonal programming, and holiday specials.
  • Coordinate social media content for outlets, enhancing revenue, awareness, and reputation.
  • Ensure outlets review upcoming business volumes and adjust staffing accordingly.
  • Participate in the budget process for F&B outlets, reviewing and revising menus as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate programming and complete month-end reviews for relevant outlets.
  • Participate in REVMAX weekly meetings as needed, presenting revenue-driven promotions and ideas.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food and beverage management roles within a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • Relevant certifications or training in food safety and hygiene are an asset.
