Role Overview

The Queensland Police Service's award-winning team is dedicated to keeping communities safe and informed.

As a Senior Media and Public Affairs Officer, you will work closely with creative professionals on media strategy, campaigns, and content. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to support organisational change and key initiatives.

  • Develop and implement media management and corporate communication strategies to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Oversee the production of news releases, social media content, and speaking points that align with the organisation's goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Media Operations team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Favourable consideration will be given to applicants with formal qualifications in journalism and public affairs.

Applications will remain current for 12 months.

This role requires rotational shift work, rotational weekend work, and potential duties outside business hours.
