Our company is a leading home builder in Queensland, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential communities and townhouse projects across Brisbane.
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team, who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of payroll functions, including processing superannuation and salary sacrifice contributions, maintaining understanding of current Payroll and Award legislation, and checking and paying internal commissions and account balances.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience managing end-to-end payroll processes, demonstrated experience in managing superannuation, salary sacrifice, and contributions, as well as strong technical skills in PAYG and payroll tax.
The role involves working closely with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate processing and payment of invoices, as well as assisting with annual tasks such as PAYG Payment Summaries, Taxable Payments Report, Q Leave, Payroll Tax, Annual Return, and year-end audit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Payroll and Award legislation
- Processing superannuation and salary sacrifice contributions
- Checking and paying internal commissions and account balances
- Calculating, reporting, and paying PAYG Withholding and Payroll Tax
- Assisting with annual tasks such as PAYG Payment Summaries, Taxable Payments Report, Q Leave, Payroll Tax, Annual Return, and year-end audit
For this role, we are looking for a skilled professional with excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills. Intermediate skills with Excel are required, and experience with Jobpac is highly desirable.
