Overview

Payroll Specialist role at Davidson. Our client is a well-established organisation employing over 1,000 staff across multiple states. They are migrating long service leave data into a new Payroll and Time & Attendance system and need an experienced payroll professional to implement the project.


About the Role

Working under the guidance of the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for converting and reconciling long service leave entitlements for 1,000 employees. This will involve:

  • Extrapolating timesheet data from multiple payroll systems across different states
  • Converting calculations from hours to weeks for migration into the new system
  • Handling both straightforward and complex cases, depending on service history and legacy employer arrangements
  • Investigating and verifying data, including paper-based records
  • Applying the correct long service leave codes with accuracy and compliance in mind

About You

We're looking for someone who knows their way around payroll—but more importantly, someone with solid, practical knowledge of long service leave and how to interpret entitlements.

  • Demonstrated payroll experience
  • Strong understanding of long service leave legislation and entitlements
  • High attention to detail with investigative skills for legacy and paper-based data
  • Ability to work independently while following direction from the Payroll Manager
  • Confidence in managing data integrity across multiple payroll systems
