Job Title: Network Operations Controller

Rex, Australia's largest independent regional and domestic airline, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Controller to join its Sydney Head Office team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Rex Network, ensuring seamless flight schedules and efficient air traffic flow.
  • Liaise with ports and airports to provide accurate information on all flights, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
  • Monitor flight performance, identifying and reporting any delays or disruptions, and coordinating with other teams to minimize their impact.
  • Manage Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) slots, optimizing flight schedules to reduce delays and improve overall network efficiency.
  • Coordinate aircraft turnarounds in Sydney, including fuel ordering and bay allocation, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement disruption plans to minimize the impact of unexpected events on the network.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Rostering and Crew Planning, to ensure seamless crew coverage and efficient operations.
Requirements:
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
