Key Player in Operations and Human Resources

The role of the People Partner (Operations) is crucial for the HR execution of business strategies and operational objectives. This position plays a key part in driving initiatives at our WA-based operations.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will partner with the business to provide human resources advisory support and coaching on people matters including workforce planning, performance management, talent development, employee relations, and change management.
  • They will analyse and monitor workforce trends to identify leading trends for the operational workgroup and support the delivery of proactive strategies in response.
  • Supporting operational leaders to progress day-to-day activities and culture initiatives is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality services is essential.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in human resources or a related discipline is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a human resources role within mining or other related heavy industries.
  • Proven ability to develop constructive working relationships with employees and managers is necessary.
  • Strong influencing skills are also essential.
  • A good understanding of human resources and employee relations legislation and practices is required.
  • Sound judgement and objective problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Experience using HR systems such as Workday is highly desirable.
  • A valid C class driver's licence is necessary.
