About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and unrestricted electrician to join our team in supporting our cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions.

The successful candidate will conduct preventative and reactive maintenance in BESS environments, including inverters, sensor testing, and full life cycle agreement works. Essential responsibilities include engaging in work to ensure system reliability and performing tasks on complete, fully integrated, and flexible energy storage systems that push the boundaries of performance, efficiency, and design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance in BESS environments, including inverters, sensor testing, and full life cycle agreement works
  • Engaging in essential work to ensure system reliability

Our Quantum products address fundamental safety challenges, including power generation capacity management, fire detection, short circuit handling, and interconnection communication.

The Eraring BESS Matters

LARGE-SCALE battery energy storage systems play a vital role in Australia's energy transition by supporting renewable energy sources while providing firming capacity and stability to the National Electricity Grid. The Eraring BESS is designed to support renewable project development by charging during the day when solar energy is abundant and discharging into the grid during peak periods.

Located at Eraring, the BESS utilises existing transmission infrastructure, minimising the need for additional construction. Project highlights include all three stages of the Eraring BESS currently under construction, with stage one and three scheduled to come online in Q4 2025 and stage two launching in Q1 2027.

Candidate Requirements
  • NNSW Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
  • White Card, LVR/CPR certifications, and a valid Driver's Licence
  • HV Switching certification (desirable but not essential)
