About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our fresh produce category strategy. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that ensures the highest quality products reach our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and execute category plans for fresh produce, ensuring alignment with sourcing strategy and ongoing business priorities.
  • Analyse produce seasonality, supply risks, and pricing trends to inform category strategies.
  • Negotiate, onboard, and manage growers and suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and value.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimise sourcing outcomes and drive commercial impact.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP cycles, negotiate long-term agreements, and execute commercial opportunities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and/or Business Administration.
  • 5–7 years' experience in procurement or sourcing, ideally within Manufacturing, Retail, or FMCG.
  • Proven expertise in food ingredient procurement (Fresh Produce, Grocery, Food Service).
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to 'read' the market.
  • Familiarity with supplier management tools (e.g. ERP, Foods Connected).
