Procurement Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Procurement Officer. This is a 6 week assignment based in Perth, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify invoices and progress them to the accounts team
  • Raise weekly purchase orders on the ERP system via PO Gen
  • Work with the Inventory demand planner to raise exceptional purchase orders
  • Maintain stock records and supplier data information
  • Accountable for checking supply invoices with purchase orders including receipt discrepancies
  • Manage purchase requisition backlogs and workflows
  • Ensure correct allocation of cost centres for all goods
Requirements:
  • Experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Able to raise purchase orders using an ERP system
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Ability to pick up new computer systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have a strong attention to detail. They will also have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
