Purchasing Operations Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Operations Specialist to manage warehouse distribution, including inventory, purchasing and supply contracts. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations within our logistics network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the purchasing process in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement and optimize storage capacity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and services.
  • Implement efficient disposal processes for obsolete or damaged goods.
  • Provide timely support to end-users regarding delivery schedules and product availability.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing and inventory management responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with computerized supply systems and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work safely within a team environment.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with Oracle-based systems highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • No leave entitlements, casual loading included.
