Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Professional to join our team in Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to the security of our operations.

  • Provide strategic guidance on security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian Government regulations.
  • Conduct regular threat and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain Security Policies & Plans (SPP) to ensure continuous delivery of business operations.
  • Conduct security audits to verify adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Investigate incidents and respond to security threats in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Foster a positive security culture within the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of security best practices.
  • Ensure information and security awareness training programs are in place for all personnel, including managers and employees.
  • Manage access control, security keys, and sensitive information within the Canberra facility, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • Travel to Australian sites to review security controls, conduct staff training, and provide support as needed.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defence security or security processes and procedures, excellent communication skills, and experience in incident management, investigations, and crisis management principles.

  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence Security Clearance.
  • Experience in security risk management techniques, including threat and vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create reports and presentations.
