We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge text-to-speech app. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a life-changing product that impacts millions of people worldwide.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Owning major features and collaborating closely with our design team
  • Shaping the future of our Android team and driving technical excellence
  • Ensuring the reliability and stability of key features
  • Participating in discussions across different teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering
  • Reviewing code, supporting teammates, and handling critical issues
  • Delivering high-quality features and providing nightly builds for QA testing
Unlock Your Potential

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Android components and building or contributing to at least one Android app
  • Product design intuition, user empathy, and a drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX
  • Understanding of the importance of tests and how to approach writing tests
  • Self-motivation to improve the app and codebase above and beyond what's outlined in the spec
  • Rock-solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests
