Senior Android Software Developer

Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service. We are seeking engineers to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions with a focus on Android.

About the Role

You will work on a project critical to our needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the organization grows. The role requires versatility, leadership, and problem-solving skills across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement new features for Google Photos.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to define and improve Google Photos Android architecture.
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers on the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience building Android software products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience with Kotlin/Java.
  • Experience with technical leadership.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
