Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing end-of-month management accounts financial analysis and reporting to leadership
  • Managing cash flow forecasting overseas supplier payments and foreign currency transactions
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including debt collection and credit control
  • Managing tax compliance including BAS GST PAYG payroll tax FBT and company tax obligations
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset and Financing Registers and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Overseeing insurance renewals claims and coverage adequacy
  • Reviewing contract terms and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Providing financial insights to support strategic planning and business proposals
  • Supervising and mentoring your finance team
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' finance management experience ideally in an import/wholesale trading environment
  • A degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline CPA/CA highly regarded
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and reporting tools e.g. PowerBI
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and financial compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business
  • Experience leading or supervising staff
