Job Title

Advanced Trainee in Genetic Medicine provides Genetic services to patients of Westmead Hospital as a member of the Department of Genetic Medicine, under the supervision of consultant clinical geneticists from Westmead Hospital.

Job Description

This position involves participation in the Adult Genetic Metabolic Disorders Service for outpatients and inpatients with known or suspected metabolic disorders.

The role entails participation in research projects under the supervision of members of the Department of Genetic Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide genetic medicine services to inpatients and outpatients of Westmead Hospital.
  • Participate in the Adult Genetic Metabolic Disorders Service.
  • Contribute to research projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • MBBS or equivalent.
  • Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as an advanced trainee or equivalent.
  • Completion of mandatory training as required by RACP or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
  • Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development.
