About the Opportunity

We invite applications for a part-time lecturer in chemistry and biochemistry to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taught undergraduate and postgraduate programs in chemistry and biochemistry, including lectures, tutorials, workshops, and laboratory classes.
  • Developed and supported academic programs, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Mentored and supported students on academic matters, as well as supervised higher degree research students.

Requirements

To be suitable for this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience and excellence in tertiary teaching in the fields of analytical, environmental, inorganic, or general chemistry, and/or areas of biochemistry.
  • Ability to contribute to teaching, associated administrative duties, coordination, and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Qualifications

Apart from an earned doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field, applicants must hold a teaching qualification.

The successful candidate is expected to make original and innovative contributions to the school's overall research output by fostering a strong research culture that includes international collaboration, competitive grants, and high-quality publications.
