Job Summary

The Information Systems Security Manager will oversee the security management and assurance of HQ CEWD, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements. This role involves providing specialist support to DCEW on complex security matters in both protective security and Special Access operating environments.

  • Operate as the HQ CEWD Security Subject Matter Expert to DCEW and XO CEWD;
  • Ensure security across CEWD through risk assessments and awareness programs;
  • Oversee and contribute to facility management and special programs security & ICT frameworks;
  • Develop and manage all security-related policies, instructions, and BLIs.

This is a dynamic position within a fully integrated civilian-military workforce, drawing on high-quality professionals who embody Defence and Australian Public Service values. Ideal candidates will have a fundamental understanding of Australian Government security, specifically related to the Australian Defence Force. They will possess strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling coordination with subordinate units and compilation of information for clearance purposes.
