About the Role

The Cyber Security Assurance Manager is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Cyber Security policy and processes.

They are responsible for managing projects and other related tasks in relation to the SA Government Protective Security Framework (SAPSF) and SA Government Cyber Security Framework (SACSF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the effective management of the Cyber Security Program including development of the Assurance Program.
  • Liaise and consult with a range of stakeholders and relevant teams across OCIO in relation to security requirements.
  • Ensure security standards and management are maintained in alignment with SAPSF and SACSF.
  • Develop and manage a Third-Party Risk Assurance Program to bring central oversight of cyber risks posed to government by third parties.
  • Undertake or participate in investigations into activities that breach security standards and policies.
  • Provide expert advice on cyber security taking into consideration national and international developments.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with government at the state and national level.
