About Ability Consultants
Job Description:We are seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our team in Cairns, Australia. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with NDIS participants to gain an empathetic understanding of their goals, wants and needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet with NDIS participants to gather data through assessments, observations and interviews
- Write and implement behaviour support plans, providing training and coaching to NDIS participants and the important people in their life
- Collaborate with support teams including families, schools, medical and allied health providers, accommodation providers and support workers
About You
Requirements:- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in psychology, ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy, counselling, criminology, disability, education, mental health, music therapy, psychotherapy, special education, social work or related fields
- Privately insured vehicle and a valid driver's licence; NDIS Worker Screening Check; Working with Children Check; ABN; Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
