This role seeks individuals who can deliver exceptional care and support services to older Western Australians across the state.

The successful candidate will play an important role in enhancing residents' quality of life, ensuring they feel welcome, valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect and independence
  • Provide personal care including assistance with hygiene, grooming, dressing and mobility
  • Assist with safe medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and management personnel
  • Contribute to infection prevention and workplace health and safety practices
  • Support residents' participation in meaningful daily activities promoting their dignity and choice
  • Ensure nutritional needs are met by providing mealtime support
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work across different sites and shifts supporting continuity of care
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care
  • Experience working in an aged care setting as a caregiver
  • Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals service providers and case managers
  • Excellent communication organisational and time management skills
  • Understanding of cognitive strategies social interaction and meeting mental and emotional health needs of residents
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements including National Police Clearance NDIS Worker Screening and Aged Care Code of Conduct
