Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Engineering Lead Auditor to join our team at Regional Express (Rex). As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits of our CAMO, AMO, and CAR 30 operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead Audits: Act as lead auditor or assist during audits to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- External Audits: Conduct external audits of subcontractors to assess their suitability for contracted tasks.
- Audit Reports: Compile and submit comprehensive audit reports to management.
- Liaison: Liaise with external authorities during third-party audits as required.
- Investigations: Investigate safety-related engineering events and distribute reports as necessary.
- Open Findings: Manage open engineering findings and ensure timely resolution.
- RCA Responses: Monitor the receipt and follow-up of engineering RCA responses within the identified timeframe.
- Quality Management: Perform tasks as directed by the Quality Manager/Safety Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Requirements:
- Engineering Background: Possess an engineering background, preferably in the aviation industry, with practical experience as an AME/LAME or hold a Cert IV.
- Quality Management: Hold a formal qualification in quality management or a minimum of 5 years' experience in quality management activities.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Possess a good working knowledge of the following regulations: CAR, CAR, Part Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMO), Part Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMO), Part Maintenance Training Organisations, and Part 66 Licensing.
- Investigation and Auditing Experience: Previous investigation and auditing experience.
- Communication and Report Writing Skills: Advanced communication and report writing skills.
- Lead Auditor's Course: Have successfully completed a recognised Lead Auditor's course.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
