Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Platform Engineer plays a key role in providing tooling and support for the engineering organisation.

Owning shared and fundamental infrastructure, they collaborate with teams for their DevOps or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the engineering function through tooling, guidance and education.
  • Join the on-call roster for the platform.
  • Consider and improve the software ecosystem across the full build-test-deploy-release-monitor cycle.
  • Maintain, improve and design cost-effective and scalable PCI-compliant infrastructure.
  • Mentor and support platform team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with AWS services and industry trends.
  • Write and maintain internal tools, services and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers from across the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in DevOps, Cloud or Platform engineering.
  • Programming and Scripting - any language, familiarity with Go, Bash and Java preferred.
  • The Cloud - strong cloud skills with any provider, AWS preferred.
  • Communication - strong written and verbal skills.
  • Empathy - a service mindset for internal stakeholders.
  • A love of learning - commitment to learning and growth.
