Australia Post is seeking a seasoned Operational Excellence Manager to join our Melbourne Gateway Facility team.

This pivotal role sits within the heart of Australia Post's operations, offering the opportunity to lead a dynamic team in delivering high-performance results. As part of the Melbourne Gateway Facility, you'll play a key role in overseeing operations, managing large teams, and driving operational improvements as we continue to innovate and transform our network.

You'll be part of a passionate team where change, customer service, and safety are at the core of everything we do. You'll have the chance to support the Operations Manager in leading day and night shift operations, focusing on continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency across our network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple operational shifts to achieve service standards and performance targets, ensuring smooth parcel processing and delivery operations.
  • Oversee staff allocation, operational performance, and manage resources effectively to meet the demands of both Express Post and International services.
  • Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives, network innovation programs, and operational improvements.
  • Build a culture that promotes the One Team philosophy, focusing on customer service, safety, and the wellbeing of your team.

You'll also lead and develop your team, ensuring operational targets are met while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This includes supporting significant change management programs, including the adoption of Lean practices and innovation initiatives across the network.

About You:
