Pipeline Integrity Expert Wanted

We are looking for a highly skilled Pipeline Integrity Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural and operational integrity of external pipelines associated with the Kwinana Energy Hub (KEH).

The Pipeline Integrity Expert will be the owner and subject matter expert of the site's Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS), including implementing PIM activities and communicating pipeline risks and integrity status.

The role involves organizing and executing intelligent pigging inspections and follow-up excavations and repairs every 5 years, conducting monthly and quarterly surveillance patrols of the FWOL, FBOL, KWOL, and local pipeline routes, documenting patrols, verifying pipeline security, marker condition, vegetation management, and third-party activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing pipeline integrity management systems and specifying repair procedures.
  • Providing technical reports and recommendations based on inspection data and surveillance findings.
  • Managing cathodic protection systems, monitoring performance, identifying areas for further investigations or upgrade/repair, and providing field supervision of the Contractor scheduled surveys.
  • Developing and maintaining maintenance procedures and document repair methods.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of fabrication and repairs satisfy relevant Codes, Standards and Practices.
  • Formal record keeping of maintenance activities on pipelines (e.g., coating inspection and re-wrapping and drawing updates).
  • Management of an external pipeline information database that records pipeline route, land ownership, caveats and access rights.
  • Developing and managing scopes of works to modify, de-commission, remediate or remove redundant sections of the external pipelines.
