Job Description

As a seasoned construction expert, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects that transform the global infrastructure landscape. Your leadership skills and expertise in data center design, engineering, and operational requirements will be instrumental in driving project objectives and fostering collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in managing complex projects and teams. They must possess exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to self-direct and make informed decisions.

This role requires a relentless advocate for safety who can work closely with internal groups to maintain corporate vision and goals. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain best practices to identify cost-effective solutions
  • Drive deployment of solutions globally across DCD projects
  • Facilitate decision-making to drive solutions, schedules, and manage change as required
  • Regularly review cost and KPI metrics, process/policy communications to client partners
  • Provide project single point of contact for project development and delivery
  • Coordinate meetings and activities of vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learned
  • Attend scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report as necessary
  • Report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required
  • Provide weekly project status reporting to DCD standards
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on safety, scope and schedule
  • Direct fiscal responsibility for the approved project budget
  • Work independently in support of the DCD Project
  • Walk the jobsite daily to ensure compliance with safety and schedule
  • Ensure that all mission critical activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant codes, regulations, and specifications
  • Responsible for start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting and handover of the project to operations team
  • Provide Vendor (contractor) oversight and performance management
  • Manage manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to ensure MEP installations proceed smoothly and according to plan
Qualifications

4+ years of experience in construction, data center design, and operational requirements are necessary. A deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is also essential.
