The Birth Unit at a major hospital is seeking an experienced Midwife to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide quality woman-centred, effective, evidence-based midwifery care in accordance with the ANMC National Competency Standards for the Midwife (2006)">
  • Consult and liaise with obstetric, medical and other appropriate staff as per the ACM National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and referral (PD2010_022) guidelines when deviations from the norm are identified">
  • Support lactation and infant feeding; work with the multidisciplinary team; contribute to a woman-centred care environment">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife">
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with patients and colleagues">
  • Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding">
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment">
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development">
  • Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence">
  • People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply">
