  • Leading the HR Business Partnering team to enhance people management capabilities.
  • Developing organisational capability and leadership for the future.
  • Upholding and developing Yarra Trams' culture and values.
  • Providing expert HR Business Partnering support to client groups.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Support leaders to understand and manage people impacts of business strategies.
  • Help develop organisational capability and leadership for the future.
  • Identify people-related trends and provide proactive solutions.
  • Coach managers to handle employee matters effectively.
  • Uphold Yarra Trams' values by addressing behaviours that don't align with our standards and policies.

Operational Excellence

  • Conduct workplace investigations and implement recommendations.
  • Facilitate key leadership development programs.
  • Lead the annual people cycle and support leaders.
  • Provide expert coaching on complex people issues.
  • Support business leaders on projects with Employee Relations/Industrial Relations implications.

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in HR generalist or Employee Relations roles.
  • Solid knowledge of assessment, recruitment, and development processes.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Expertise in employment law and the ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering HR solutions that align with business objectives.
