Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Respiratory Coordinator to join our team in Eyre Peninsula and the Far North of South Australia.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level support and developing effective respiratory services that aim to reduce emergency department presentations, hospital admissions, and length of stay for patients with respiratory conditions. They will also facilitate timely transfers of respiratory patients from metropolitan health services to their community or residence.


Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation. They will have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, prioritize workloads, and be creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.


Furthermore, the successful candidate will have experience working with Aboriginal consumers and communities to provide culturally appropriate health services, engage and influence others to improve Aboriginal Health services provided to the local community, and possess an understanding of Aboriginal culture.


The Respiratory Coordinator will also have the opportunity to lead and direct student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
