About the Role: As a key leader within our team, you will have the opportunity to manage and deliver complex criminal law projects in collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Our team is responsible for leading policy development and law reform across criminal law issues, including delivering legislative reform programs and national projects. We work collaboratively with entities across the justice system to ensure policy reform is strategic, relevant, and holistic.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of legal policy officers
  • Develop and deliver complex policy or law reform projects
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership across the team
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive outcomes and objectives

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in law
  • Experience working in justice policy or government
  • Extensive experience managing teams and developing policies
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
