Our organization is seeking a Geoscientist to lead geological field work programs including mapping, geochemical sampling and drill logging. This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills and the ability to oversee compliance with relevant obligations.
The Role- Conduct geological field work programs including mapping, geochemical surface sampling and drill logging
- Collect, interpret and report accurate data on geological features and structures
- Provide direction to team members and contractors in the field
- Engage effectively with external stakeholders and partners
- Oversee compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Participate in daily safety meetings and ensure a safe working environment
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced geologist who can demonstrate expertise in the following areas:
- Tertiary level degree in Geology or Geological Science
- Proven experience in a geological exploration role
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collect, analyze and interpret large datasets
- Experience with GIS software, such as ArcGIS, and database management systems, such as Micromine
- A current driver's license and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access
