Northwestern Medicine invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity in our Transplant Surgery department.
This role offers a unique chance to work with the abdominal transplant surgery team, providing comprehensive care to patients prior to and post kidney, liver and pancreas transplant.
A key aspect of this position is demonstrating clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities, including diagnosis and management of various health problems.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities
- Develop and implement educational programs for patients and staff
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct clinical care to patients, including prescription and therapy as needed
• Evaluate patients to determine their need for further healthcare services
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's degree from an accredited school/college of nursing or Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois or Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois
- Privileged and credentialed through the NMH Medical Staff Office (MSO)
Preferred:
- 2 years of clinical experience in the area of specialty
