Arup is seeking a highly experienced Onshore Wind Energy Leader to join our established Renewable Energy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading onshore wind projects and providing technical expertise to our clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of experience in onshore wind, with a strong background in design, construction, and project management. You will be responsible for building rapport and networks with internal and external stakeholders, gaining a good understanding of customer needs, and project management, including meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets, and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead onshore wind projects and provide technical expertise to clients
  • Build rapport and networks with internal and external stakeholders
  • Gain a good understanding of customer needs
  • Project management, including meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets, and controlling expenditure
  • Represent Arup at internal and external events
  • Responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction, and feedback
Requirements
  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical/electrical/civil engineering or similar
  • Career track record of utility scale wind experience
  • Established presence within the renewable market and associated industry contacts
  • Deep expertise in foundation design would be highly valued
  • Relevant industry experience in power systems, solar PV, hydrogen, battery energy storage, pumped hydro, lenders technical due diligence, project management, project proposals, within a consulting business environment would be considered advantageous
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership
