Arup is shaping a better world. As part of our established Renewable Energy team, the Wind Energy Leader role focuses on leading onshore wind projects, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with other disciplines to further our market presence.

The Role's Responsibilities:

  • Build Relationships: Foster rapport and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer Understanding: Gain a good understanding of customer needs.
  • Project Management: Meet deadlines, monitor budgets, and control expenditure to meet financial targets.
  • Representation: Represent Arup at internal and external events, designing and delivering events, activities, and projects that impact the business.
  • Team Leadership: Guide the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Credentials: Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or similar.
  • Experience: Career track record of utility-scale wind experience, established presence within the renewable market, and associated industry contacts.
  • Expertise: Deep expertise in foundation design is highly valued, as well as experience in power systems, solar PV, hydrogen, battery energy storage, pumped hydro, lenders' technical due diligence, project management, project proposals, and consulting business environments.
  • Professional Development: Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
