Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Specialist in Psychiatry to join our team at a Coastal QLD hospital.

  • Inpatient unit placement: Mon-Fri, no on call.
  • CCT Hervey Bay placement: Mon-Fri, no on call.
  • CCT Maryborough placement: Mon-Fri, no on call.
  • Acute Care Team placement: Mon-Fri, no on call.

The successful applicant will work closely with our team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Psychiatrist to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Specialist in Psychiatry, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services to our patients.

  • Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to junior staff members.
Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
