Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

A challenging position is available for a mental health specialist to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

The role involves delivering expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, education, and research projects.
  • Manage a small direct caseload of patients.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Specialist training and experience in psychiatry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, education, and research projects.
