Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees while maintaining compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the People and Culture team to prepare and process end-to-end payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations and journals with accurate cost centre allocations and cost recharges for shared resources.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare and manage payroll reports and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries promptly.
- Analyze and report on payroll expenses and maintain records.
- Manage payroll tax and other employment-related taxes and insurances.
- Calculate and reconcile annual and long service leave.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to enhance payroll processes.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience using Keypay payroll system.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with HRIS and accounting software is a plus.
- If you have experience with US payroll, that would be an added bonus.
