About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in North Sydney. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll across Australia for a range of different industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Onboard new employees, prepare termination payments, and process workers' compensation, PAYG payments, and superannuation.
  • Bank payments and reconcile trust accounts, responding to internal and external client queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare weekly, fortnightly, and monthly reports as required, coordinating with and reviewing work done by junior team members.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years' experience in payroll processing within Australia.
  • Ability to work to tight time schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using payroll software such as Keypay, Cloud Payroll, and Xero.
  • Intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of awards, NES, and relevant legislations will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
