Key Responsibilities- Revenue Recognition and Billing: Manage all aspects of revenue recognition and billing processes, including optimising revenue performance.
- Invoice and Statement Generation: Generate invoices and statements using PRODA & Xero accounting systems, monitoring outstanding receivables balance.
- Billing Discrepancies: Reconcile billing discrepancies as necessary, including review of funding management levels.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including NDIS financial regulations and reporting requirements, and participate in NDIS or financial audits as required.
- Revenue and Billing Data: Review and verify accuracy of revenue and billing data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse revenue and billing trends, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Month-End Close Procedures: Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations related to revenue and billing accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with preparation of financial reports, including data visualization and analysis of financial information to provide insights.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or related roles.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of relevant NDIS financial regulations, guidelines and compliance requirements, and experience in reviewing, modelling and analysing financial data.
- Desirable: Experience in the disability (NDIA) or aged care sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, PRODA).
- Personal Qualities: Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification: CPA / CA certification or progress towards CPA / CA eligibility is a plus.
Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
